Workshop Surveys

Users familiar with the system can continue onto http://www.computationalscience.org/. Otherwise, please read the information below.

Types of Surveys

Each workshop has three types of workshops associated with it: a pre-workshop survey, daily feedback surveys, and a post-workshop survey.

Each participant should take the pre-workshop survey prior to the first day of the workshop. There are four different options for pre-workshop survey: one for college faculty, one for K-12 teachers, one for administrators, and one for students. Please take only one of these surveys; choose the option that best describes your role.

A daily survey has been prepared for each workshop day. These should be filled out at either the end of each day or at the beginning of the next morning. These will be used by the instructor pool to help shape the format and content of the workshop based on participants' feedback.

The post-workshop survey should be taken at the end of the workshop. Again, please take one of the following: the college faculty, K-12 teacher, administrator, or student survey. Comparisons between the pre- and post-workshop surveys will be used to evaluate the influence of the summer workshops.

How to Take the Surveys

Like the workshop registration system, the survey system is hosted by the National Computational Science Institute. To complete a survey, follow the steps below.

Open a browser window and go to http://www.computationalscience.org/.
Click "Login" in the bottom right corner and then enter the same username and password you used to register for the workshop. If you've forgotten your username, ask one of the instructors to look it up for you.
Now you will have a "View Your Account" option on the main window. Click on this link.
The registrations for your current workhops will be listed on the right-hand side. Under your current workshop, click on "[details]". This will bring up the information for this particular workshop.
Click on "Surveys" on the left-hand side. This will bring up a list of surveys on the right hand side. From there, each survey has a "Take survey" button next to the survey. Click on it to take the survey.
